Take a drive down a winding gravel road, the path less traveled, and spot the vineyard on the hillside. Once you turn into the driveway you will see a Tuscan style tasting room with a gorgeous patio, pond, and an adjacent tent-covered deck that overlooks the vineyard. 

 When you step into the tasting room you will feel like you went back in time to an old Tuscan village. The Fergedaboudit family will welcome you with a big smile and offer you some details to begin your experience. They will take you through the history of how Fergedaboudit (and its name) came to be, and a description of the wines to help guide you to your tasting selections.

 Whether you are looking for a venue for a special event, a quiet afternoon of wine tasting paired with carefully selected imported chesses, or an afternoon of wine flights, homemade pizza and live music, we have it all.  We have a broad selection of wines for everyone’s palate. From dry reds to sweet white wines, made from grapes grown on our property, as well as imported grapes from California and Chili. We take pride in growing, nurturing and harvesting our French hybrid grapes created specifically for the Illinois climate. However, we are equally proud of processing imported grapes that bring the flavors from many different wine regions.

The Vineyard 

Nine varietals of French hybrid grapes are grown on five precious acres of vines surrounded by forty acres of rolling hills. Rosario planted his first vines the spring of 2000. You are welcome to stroll through the vines while sipping wine and snapping some memorable photos.

 The Winery 

Rosario’s winery is a special place where our talented winemakers begin the complex process from grape to table. After harvest, the grapes are processed, fermented, aged and bottled. This is a very important and busy time of year. Currently we do not offer winery tours, however our friendly and knowledge staff will tell you all about how are wine is made.
